Position Description
The Senior Desktop Support Engineer is a member of a growing technology team with an automation-first approach. As a member of the IT team, you will be responsible for supporting end users by bringing experience and knowledge to the support role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting end users in a cross-platform environment (Windows/Linux/macOS)
- Day to day management of core infrastructure services (AD, MDM, DNS, etc.)
- Automation and scripting of repetitive tasks using PowerShell / Ansible
- Management and creation of automatic reporting of inventories
- Strong ability to create documentation with attention to detail
- Assisting / Mentoring / Training of Junior Support
- Recommend and implement new technologies
- Assisting with project management and organization of technical support requests
Qualifications:
- BA/BS/Associate degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience/certification
- 5+ years working in an IT support role working directly with end users
- 3+ years managing Active Directory in an Enterprise Environment
- 2+ years scripting in an applicable language (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.)
- A+ Certification or equivalent work experience
- Network + / CCNA Certification or equivalent work experience
- Firm understanding of IT fundamentals (IP/TCP/Hardware/AD/DNS/Routing)
